ARDKO COATINGS
Company ARDKO Coatings is a is a third-generation family painting business founded in 1969, by Jerry Silliman Sr. After spending time pursuing opportunities in other parts of the country, Jerry decided to return to his childhood home to raise his family.

Having roots in the painting industry (his father was a painter), Jerry saw a need for a painting company in the Dallas area. Focusing on quality and service, he opened the doors in 1979. In 1991, Jerry started working with his father in the business. As the company grew, Jerry took on more responsibility and, in 1991, took over the reins as Jerry Sr. retired.

The company prospered and grew during the 1990s, opening its new office/shop complex in 1999, its present location. In 2002, Mark Silliman, Jerry’s son, joined his father full time in the business. Working together during the 1990s through 1999s, the company grew. It was during this period that the Atlanta and Washington DC offices were opened. The company grew expanding markets into Nevada with projects in Massachusetts and Florida. Under Jerry’s guidance, Mark took over operation of the Company in 2006.

Today, Mark and Jerry still work together in the business along with their partners Terry Madison (Orlando,FL office) and Doyle Johnson (Boston, MA,office).

Between the three offices, the company now employs a 220-member crew with a 16-member support team. Committed to the original ideals of service and quality laid down by Jerry Silliman Sr., the ARDKO Coatings Company is positioned to serve its customers well into the future.

Established in 1998, ARDKO Residential is Atlanta’s premier residential insurance reconstruction firm. We’re known nationally for our innovation, professionalism and energy efficient building practices and have won over 27 national, regional and local awards for excellence and speed in our industry.
We provide turnkey insurance reconstruction services with a staff of architects, designers, estimators and project managers working together to provide our clients with professionally designed and crafted renovations and additions. Our projects have scopes that span whole home reconstruction of fires and floods.

We strive to be leaders in our market as well as our industry. At contract, we offer our clients a fixed price and a written schedule for completion of the project. In order to finish your project promptly and completely, ARDKO Residential created the Stand Back & See ® program. We work with you to eliminate the worry at the end of our projects. Construction Management
At ARDKO Commercial our construction management services bring our construction knowledge and experience to a project during the design phase. We work with our client, the architect and the engineer to achieve the optimum cost, schedule and project quality.
We can work on the client’s behalf through commissioning and occupancy. We can also plan and manage the actual move into the completed facility, extending the value of ARDKO Commercial involvement.
With construction management-agency, the client holds all the trade contracts, enabling the construction manager to freely act as the client’s agent.
With construction management-at risk, the construction manager holds all the trade contracts, and is therefore in a better position to control and guarantee performance.
ARDKO Commercial's construction management services encompass all of our technical services, as well as all the administrative management services necessary to keep each project running at optimum efficiency throughout construction. Early involvement in the design phase enables ARDKO Commercial to lay the groundwork for a successful project.
During the construction phase, ARDKO Commercial supervises, manages and coordinates the work of all subcontractors. We also maintain the condition of the work site and monitor site safety, security and cleanliness. As project manager, ARDKO Commercial provides single source accountability and serves as the equivalent of an in-house project implementation department operating free of conflicts of interest.
Project management also gives ARDKO Commercial an opportunity to positively affect the outcome of each project by integrating our experience and knowledge at the earliest planning stages.

Our primary goal is to assist our client in performing its role as owner. Accordingly, we advise our clients on all aspects of the project including the day-to-day activities and responsibilities involved during the various phases of the acquisition, planning, financing, site preparation, design and construction of the project. Additionally, we recommend requisite policy decisions relating to design, constructability, budgeting, construction, scheduling and other matters.
